Booking tickets

Initially, the idea with this blog was to write it for my family and friends as I might not be able to update them on a daily basis. As well as that I saw it as a unique possibility to remember my time abroad.
I was going to do it in Danish, but in September 2014 I met a lot of awesome people, and they don't speak Danish, and if they want to read along, then I won't let the language be the show-stopper.

The fall has been stressed out from the beginning of September, and I have been dragging the booking of my plane tickets for what felt like forever, but I just haven't been ready to order them anytime before now.
Finally, about two weeks ago I was getting anxious about the damn tickets because I was afraid that I wouldn't even be able to get any tickets at all.
Several Danish newspapers reported that the prices of the tickets were historically low, and my dad advised me to wait and bide my time, just to see if any cheap tickets would come up.
He then texted me two days ago to go on ticket.dk to find cheap tickets. As the stupid page wouldn't find me any tickets I called him, and he told me to find a bound trip.
With him on the phone I went on lufthansa.com to find tickets there. I could probably suffice with just one suitcase on the trip out, but I would definitely need another suitcase on the way home, and I am in no way paying EUR150 for another suitcase, either way, so I ended up with a Premium Economy with two suitcases included each way.

I will fly out early on January 15th 2015 from Billund, Denmark. I will then land in Frankfurt, Germany where I will have a longer layover, which is far better than sprinting from one end of the airport to the other. Frankfurt airport is ginormous. Later that day I will fly from Frankfurt to Washington Dulles where I will stay at the airport hotel. The next day, January 16th 2015 I will fly to Hagerstown, about 30 miles from Shippensburg.
